Indigenous and Spiritual Parenting is important to the upbringing of children in todays society. This 2-day Workshop shares how Indigenous culture has a wonderful way of teaching children and parents the morals, values and roles Indigenous peoples lived and still live today. 

Within this workshop parents/participants  will learn:


1.     Indigenous and Spiritual Life Cycles

  • Beauty Ways  of the Indigenous Culture:


  1. Roles of child, youth, adult, old person (elder)
  2. Roles of the male and female
  3. Discipline Techniques
  4. Indigenous teachings
  5. Parenting Roles​

  • History of the Indigenous Culture and how it was damaged through:

  2.    Reserve System
  3.    5 Areas of Impact
  4.    Residential School Impact, 
  5.    Child Welfare System History - Section 88

Services & Materials Provided:

Participants:
  • Maximum 14 Participants per group, couples encouraged to participate together.
  • Participant workbooks and materials provided for clients.
  • Incentives for Recruitment and Retention – Certificate of Completion provided and more knowledge of Indigenous culture.
